Four Winds Restaurant in Carrizozo

I miss going to this restaurant in New Mexico. My mother in-law lived down the street from there. When I was in town go there had great breakfast. Lunch and where good. Owners good people. Waitresses really friendly. Hope to come back soon. Best Luck! From Cabada

Not a very good restaurant very limited items on the menu and our order was messed up twice. Hard to mess up an order consisting of two burritos and a coffee!

I had a grilled chicken salad, a 1/2 order. It was still very big with lots of different veggies on it you don't usually get...very good. The service was good considering it was very busy when we arrived.

Fantastic Mexican food. Highly recommend the chicken enchiladas. Waiter was on point.

Love this place. I get the relleno plate and my wife gets the green chili Cheeseburger. So good! We are truckdrivers and don't get here often but anytime we do we have to stop here! So glad they were still doing carry out during this covid BS instead of closing.

While on a road trip with my husband last month we stopped in at this restaurant. I live a day and a half away but I'll come back here if I ever get a chance. There was nothing fancy or high class about this place but the food was AMAZING! I had the country fried steak and gravy with mashed potatoes and corn. That was the best CF steak I've ever had. The meat was tender and juicy but the breading was light and crisp. No nasty grease. I had taken a pic and sent it back home to Mississippi bragging over my beautiful looking meal. I didn't know at the time that it would taste just as good.The gravy was homemade as was the whole meal. I can't wait to go back

This is a really good place to stop for breakfast everything we had was just plain good like homemade food should be. Eggs were made to both our requests perfectly and staff is very friendly and cheerful. The place itself feels very inviting like going to moms house.

A favorite when traveling through New Mexico. Homemade Mexican style food. Breaded fried peppers are always great. Spice salsa and fresh chips. Enchiladas with the spicy green sauce was super.

I ordered the breakfast burrito. One of the best I've ever had! $5.00 and it was the size of Chipotle's burrito. So glad I stopped. Support your local businesses. :)

Was good as usual. Tables were moved away from each other. Mexican Tonite, & it was good as usual. We ate at 5.30 so we missed the crowd.

Dined at the 4 Winds Restaurant located at the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise back on September 2019 with family from NZ. Great place to take family and friends when they visiting the Gold Coast. They not only enjoy the variety of delicious cuisine including seafood buffets, but also the changing views of the Gold Coast as the restaurant floor rotates full circle while dining. Very relaxing atmosphere and satisfaction guaranteed.

This is the only place to eat in very desolate area. they have all your typical burgers club sandwich in a broad menu of authentic Mexican food. My teavel partner had fried chicken steak with gravy and I had a fry cod sandwich on rye bread. I crave a good fish sandwich from time and it was really good so if you're traveling through town on 380 or highway 54 stop in and grab a bite 😋

Small middle of nowhere restaurant, but if it's on your route definitely worth stopping in. Good for any meal, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner.Their monster burger 🍔 is simply that monstrous it's definitely worth the price, and the portions are large, and the fries are to die for good. 😊👍🍟

Considering that it is literally the only place for miles around, it was better than expected. Decent, filling food. Good price. Friendly servers (this IS New Mexico after all). I thought the chile could pack a bit more punch, but that's a small gripe. It's a worthy spot to stop.

Friendly staff nice clean restaurant. My beef enchiladas with egg on top were 3 stars. My girls green chili burger was 5 stars. I had a bite and damn it was bombdilleyisious. . if your in town or just driving through I recommend this restaurant.

Un assuming restaurant at highway 54 and 380. Tacos were very good coke was cold.

Local cafe/dinner, and has big truck parking... yeah!The food is great and the atmosphere is quite pleasant.The cafe is clean and has counter seating.I love this place... it's better than home!!! :-)

You may have hard time finding entrance. It’s a big dirty black door to the left of the door with the sign “open.”Four Winds is a fine diner, with friendly staff! Food is ok. Not great or gourmet, just ok. Clean inside, but dirty outside.Pros:- Local vibe- Wide selection of meals- Friendly and attentive staff- Filling meals- Clean tables, utensils and all of the interiorCons:- Unclean on the outside- Difficult to find entrance- Quality of ingredients is manageable, but I couldn’t eat like this daily

It was 8.45 p.m and we (vegetarians) walked into the restuarant very skeptical of the food and the place. Pleasantly surprised!! Very good staff and the lady was so accommodating to make veggie quesadillas and burgers for us. Their hot chocolate was very good too.... sweet staff, good food and reasonably priced. Definitely a 5 star for them.

Food was great! Really hot chili. And well got a dose of good humanity. A gentleman by the name Dean walked up asked if he could pay for our meal after us saying no its ok he insisted. Saying he was working for God and he told him to do it. This filled all our hearts with joy. God bless you Dean !

This small diner is very cute and had pretty good food. I got a BLT that was great and a salad. The monster burger they have is insane and great! The service was also very friendly. Definitely would recommend if you're passing through.

The liver was good, and though it took a while for it to be served, it was great service.

Fast service, crunchy beef tacos are really yummy. Free WiFi. Easy place to stop and get a little work done before hitting the road again.

It was the only place open on a Monday so we went. Meal started out fine, but when it was time for our bill it was clear we were not a priority. We were told to head to the cash register and waitress would meet us there... Instead we waited close to 10 minutes while she took another order, cleaned off the table we had been at completely, partially cleaned another table and chatted with a local for at least 5 minutes. In fact, the only reason she headed our way was because that same local was finished and ready to pay and head out. We got an insincere "Thanks for your patience" and that was it.

Great food, generous dishes and very good service.

First of all, I was really surprised, I didn't think this place would be that good especially for being out in the middle of nowhere. I got the Carne asada tacos which came with beans and rice and the garnishes. It was good. The only thing I wish this place would have done is serve chips and salsa while we waited. We came during the lunch crowd and waited a bit. Chips and salsa would have helped.

The food was excellent! Place is pretty old but that and the item for sale makes it a great old time restaurant. Staff was very friendly and our food came quickly. My small chef salad was excellent and plenty there. The the lunch cheese enchiladas dinner was perfect. Wish it was here in Alamogordo. Prices was in line also.

They gave us a really nice cheeseburger all you could eat great place friendly people
